Jay and Susan work together starting colts and helping clients with their horses during various times of the year. Gentle methods are used along with Californio Vaquero Traditions to produce ranch broke horses who have the confidence and ability to move forward in a variety of disciplines.
Jay and Susan have both been students of the horse for most of their lives. In the last few years they have merged their journey together and taken a deeper look at horses and horsemanship. Tom Dorrence, Ray Hunt, and Buck Brannaman’s teachings have been a great influence on them. Their journey continued when they met and began to study with Ben Quinters who has started colts for thirty- plus years and worked with Ray Hunt for some twenty-five years, and Jill Matthews who was part of the Parelli organization for twelve years. Since then she has partnered with Ben and together they continue to educate people and their horses.
Jay and Susan are eager to share and learn with anyone who is ready to take the journey into horsemanship where you not only learn about horses but ultimately about yourself and life.
